Explore "Connected Environments," a collaborative project between T-Mobile, Envoy, and Razmus Media, focusing on Unreal Engine development. The project involved creating an immersive and interactive experience within T-Mobile's 5G&me Experience Center in Bellevue, Washington. Visitors could navigate a real-time simulation using an Ideum touch table and physical totems, showcasing the transformative power of 5G wireless technology in industries such as Parking Management, Trash Services, Smart Roads, and more.
The development process included concept development, Unreal Engine scripting, UI design, hardware integration, testing, installation, and a successful launch. Ongoing support and post-launch evaluation ensure the ongoing success of the Connected Environments experience.
ENVOY approached us with an Unreal Engine project that involved building out three interactive locations, City, Campus, and the Airfield.
The experience would be heavy with UI elements in a robust 3d environment. And it would be controlled using totems on an Ideum touch table via UDP communication.
A bonus challenge was that the game needed to be able to scale down and run directly on a 4k Ideum table with alternate camera angles to support the "top down" table view.
Razmus Media partnered with ENVOY and handled all Unreal Engine planning, development, and optimizations.
Throughout the course of the project, Razmus Media was instrumental in ensuring that each step was effectively communicated, with regular release changelogs and clear deployment strategies. The team at Razmus Media also developed comprehensive training materials to ensure the effortless adoption of the 'Connected Environments' experience by T-Mobile's staff. This set the stage for a smooth transition from conceptualization to real-world application.
The "Connected Environments" project for T-Mobile culminated in an exceptional showcase of the capabilities of 5G and the promise of future technologies. This was a breakthrough in demonstrating how technology could help create more immersive and interactive experiences.
We were able to construct an end-product that was truly an innovation in the field of interactive experiences. The planning and feature consultation phase was an iterative process where ideas were allowed to germinate, bloom, and be refined. This collaboration and synergy resulted in a solid, production-ready experience for T-Mobile, pushing the boundaries of what was previously considered possible.
